Young Mountain joins UNDERGOTH FESTIVAL on July 4 at Valand

UNDERGOTH FESTIVAL is Gothenburg's new home for alternative live culture. Handpicked bands and artists driven by hunger, identity, and raw live energy come together to build a community and a new future for the city's scene. The underground has always been here; now it takes its place.

On July 4, we take over Valand with Dead Air as headliner and Blackstone, Giftorm, and Young Mountain as support. A night for anyone who still believes live music can be dangerous, beautiful, and completely honest.

New act: Young Mountain

Young Mountain (Gothenburg) formed in 2013 with roots firmly planted in screamo and post-hardcore. With every release, they've moved further beyond the genre's boundaries, becoming increasingly experimental, adding new layers, moods, and influences that open their sound toward wider horizons.

Releases like Lost Tree and Infrard show how the original drive is still there, now intertwined with atmospheric passages, floating guitar textures, and a more exploratory approach to structure and form.

The band has toured extensively and played multiple international festivals, both in and outside Europe, establishing themselves as a name that moves effortlessly across different corners of the alternative scene.
